Preview our new films
Bitter Memories boys sq
Our three new films on masculinity are now available for preview . What better way to educate youth on the issues they face today than with films created by youths themselves?

These three films (Bitter Memories, MANchild, and Misunderstood) speak volumes on the masculinity role that young men face today, such as issues around dating, responsibility, economic survival, and gender-based violence.

All Scenarios USA films come with a lesson plan and Behind the Scenes documentary.

Announcing our Curriculum Corner contest winner!
How gender issues impact us all...
In our last newsletter we challenged you with this prompt:
Share a moment from your life when you felt you were being treated in a certain way specifically because of your gender. How did that make you feel?
BR won a set of our 3 new movies with this response:

"It sounds almost trivial in the retelling, but it hurt enough at the time that I can still call up the feelings. I was walking down the hall in 6th or 7th grade when a boy I didn't know asked me in a belligerent tone with a curl of the lip, "Why do you carry your books like a boy!?" I had really never noticed that all the girls hugged books to their chests and the boys walked with them comfortably under one arm. But you better believe I hugged them in front of me from that day forward."

How do you think this event made BR feel? Have you ever had a similar experience? We'd love to hear from you...

For our friends in San Diego
Me, Myself and I will be screening at the 16th Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival which takes place March 12-22, 2009. Click here for more festival info

We're often asked what keeps Scenarios USA running. For us, it's the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of youths who participate in our programs and watch our films.

Now we want to know what makes Scenarios USA a valuable program to you. How have you seen our films or our curriculum impact the youths you work with?

For a chance to win THREE films of your own choice, let us know about a specific situation our films or our curriculum have shaped the lives of the youths you are involved with.

Respond by March 5th and you could walk away with 3 free films! The winner will be announced in next month's newsletter.
