Scenarios USA Selection Committee
THE SCENARIOS USA SELECTION COMMITTEE
Each year Scenarios USA asks hundreds of people from across the country to help us choose the winning entries from the “What’s the REAL DEAL?” youth writing contest.
The Selection Committee is made up of experts from many professions and diverse backgrounds. It includes teachers, young people, community organizers, Scenarios USA film purchasers, business and non-profit leaders, media professionals and health experts. It is open to adults and youth over 12 years of age.
Members of the Selection Committee are the first to read and rank the entries. Once the hundreds of entries are narrowed down to just a few finalists, a Final Selection Committee meets to choose the three winning stories. The winning writers are partnered with Hollywood directors to transform their stories into short films. Each year an estimated 15 million people watch a Scenarios USA film.
NOTE: You may not participate in the Selection Committee if you are submitting a script or if you are an educator whose students are submitting a script.
