2010 Production Campaign
Dear  Scenarios USA Supporter,

Have you ever wanted to be a film producer?
Well, here's your opportunity!

We're excited  to announce our 2010 Production Campaign and we invite you to be part of  it.

We're excited  because we have received a generous challenge grant from Melissa Thomas and David Koepp, who have pledged a dollar-for-dollar match towards this campaign.
This means that every dollar you contribute will be doubled!

We're excited  because we can offer any contributor from $25 on up a credit on our upcoming films.

We're excited  because anyone donating $250 or more will receive one ticket to our premiere. Contributions of $500 will receive two tickets and contributions of $1000 will receive four tickets.

We're excited  because we are always excited to begin a new filmmaking season and to look forward to hearing from three new teen writers, who will share their stories with us through the magic and hard-work of scriptwriting and filmmaking.

The Fine Print:

$25 contributions will receive a "Thanks to" credit on one of our three upcoming films.

$100 contributions will receive a "Thanks to" credit on all three of our upcoming films.

$250 contributions will receive a "Special Thanks to" credit on one of our three of our upcoming films and a ticket to one of our premieres.

$500 contributions will receive a "Special Thanks to" credit on all three of our upcoming films and two tickets to one of our premieres.

$1000 contributions will receive a "Special Thanks to" credit on all three of our upcoming films and four tickets to one of our premieres.

Our films will be shot during the summer and early fall of 2010. They will premiere in New York City in the late fall of 2010, and in Cleveland and Texas after that.
The Behind-the-Scenes:

Scenarios USA is a national nonprofit that uses writing and filmmaking to foster youth leadership, advocacy and self-expression in students across the country with a focus on marginalized communities.  Scenarios USA is built on the belief that by valuing youth and listening to their opinions, we can promote healthy relationships and empower a new generation of engaged citizens.

The upcoming production of new films is the culmination of our "What's the REAL DEAL about Masculinity?" program.  Our revised and expanded curriculum was published in the spring and distributed throughout the summer and fall of 2009.  Teacher workshops were held in New York City, Cleveland, Ohio and the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, with a dramatic increase in participants this year, and our curriculum was then incorporated into classroom work.  Our writing contest, an offshoot of the curriculum, is currently underway and we expect to select three winning scripts, one from each region by the end of February.

Thanks to the generosity of vendors  who contribute in-kind goods and services, and film professionals who work on our films pro bono or at greatly reduced rates, we are able to keep our cost of each film to roughly 1/3 of its actual cost.  We are very grateful to everyone who makes our films possible.

Thanks for your help and from all of us at Scenarios USA, have a joyful holiday season of peace and good cheer!

With gratitude,

Maura Minsky
